Febriyanti Lestari

I held the steering wheel, relaxed
My journey's just begun.
Forgot for a while that life sucked
And strived to reach the horizon.
Along the road, hot and quiet,
Stunned by the scenery;
Still far till I'd reach the Hyatt,
Now stuck in the prairie.

At a good spot, I pulled over,
And lay in the tall grass;
I wished to burn here forever,
Part of the Great Plains in Kansas.
From observation tower I saw
The wild buffalo herds, so calm
In the hot sun. I was in awe
Of God's creation, a realm.

I stared at the edge of the curve
Vast but painting a clear end;
My life and that of this preserve
Should blend in harmony and transcend.
